Kyrie Kristmanson in collaboration with Clark Schaufele, double bass and Marie-Noelle Berthelet, flute

Kyrie Kristmanson presents her newest work Floralia, a song-cycle written for voice and romantic guitar. Composed while bedridden with COVID during the first lockdown in March 2020, the songs are a feverish ode to the beauty of a spring that seemed to blossom at a wilder pitch as humans were forced to retreat from the world. In preparation for recording the repertoire in January 2022 at the Noirlac Abbey in France, Kyrie will give a few performances of this work in progress, collaborating with different musicians for each rendition in order to explore different instrumentations. Her Regina performance will feature Clark Schaufele, double bass and Marie-Noelle Berthelet, flute.
