Do you like Bach, Handel and Vivaldi? Do you know the music these great masters were fascinated by? A Baroque Orchestra playing on period instruments, and named for the winged sons of the Greek god of the north wind, Boreas. Sounds like a great way to open a new season of fabulous music!

Mary Joy is a graduate of the Department of Music, University of Regina and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky. With the voice of an angel, Mary Joy will delight our listeners.

Guy Few is back with Joseph Petric on accordion and Eric Vaillancourt on trombone. Described in the Peterborough Examiner as “…astounding…” with an “…engaging sense of humour…”, this promises to be a don’t-miss evening!

DAVID PLAYFAIR, baritone 

David brings to our stage a reputation for extreme versatility, from comedy to drama in a wide variety of musical genres. David’s 30-year performance career consists of more than 70 productions in theatres across Canada and the United States. The Stratford and Shaw Festivals, Opera Ora, and Opera Atelier are among his credits. Definitely a concert to look forward to!

Before she turned ten, Patricia debuted with the Toronto Symphony. Her long and distinguished career as one of North America’s most active and respected chamber musicians includes the founding of the eminent chamber music ensemble, Amici. We welcome her and her colleagues to Regina.
