The REGINA MUSICAL CLUB announces its annual recital competition to be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017. The winner of this competition will receive a cash prize of $2000. Runner-up will receive $500. Eligible candidates must be Saskatchewan residents, be no older by Dec. 31, 2016 than 28 for non-vocalists and 33 for vocalists, and have amateur status in that music cannot be the prime source of income.

Runge will be performing a programme of music for solo piano from one hundred years ago, written during 1916-17. These years, in the midst of the First World War, saw the creation of an incredible variety of music, much of it a direct response to the war.
